From the time I was old enough to understand what my eyes were seeing, I fell in love with the science fiction and fantasy genres. It began with comic books and continued with episodes of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Space 1999, Star Wars and a host of classic novels; things only expanded from there.
Page after page I loved reading about my favorite superheroes and seeing their powers in action, or watching the incredible vision of Gene Roddenberry come to life on the small black & white TV in my bedroom. Often, I would stay up late to catch an episode of Star Trek, even though it was just another re-run. On Friday nights the local TV station ran science fiction and horror movies until dawn, so I would always have an extra-large bowl of popcorn and a large glass of lemonade, ready for the all-night event. Godzilla, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, and all sorts of other monsters and aliens were some of my friends throughout my teen years. Soon enough, I began to follow the adventures of John Carter of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs, then on to the fantasy realm of J.R.R Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The mysteriousness of Gandalf and the world of Tolkien enthralled and fascinated me, and still do to this day!
Finally, I was lucky enough to see the birth of Dungeons & Dragons and was finally able to bring my ideas to the tabletop. My role-playing game experience includes nearly every game and genre imaginable. I readily examine new RPG systems and ways to improve RPG mechanics and invent new worlds.
My related fields of experience include commissioned sales, business management, copy creation, typesetting, graphic design, pre-press and offset press operations. Also, I have experience in technical and creative writing, editing, role-playing game mechanics, and website development. I have vast experience with software packages from Adobe Suites through Microsoft Office and everything in-between, to include 3D modeling and rendering apps.
I have always had it in the back of my mind that I would one day write a science fiction or fantasy novel, or both, and of late, those thoughts have resurfaced with a vengeance. My recent projects are a testament to that drive. My passion for RPGs, together with years of experience in role-playing games and RPG mechanics, brings a definite conclusion; perhaps I should finally see where my dreams can take me.
These passions bring me to my current goals: to work on the design of an RPG system and campaign world wherefrom I can create my very own fantasy adventure novels. My network of websites and social pages are devoted to these goals.
